Steel air pressure vessel – Part No.112481
Our steel air pressure vessel, part No. 112481, has a diameter of 206 mm and a length of 691 mm. It is designed for a working pressure of 15,5 bar and has a capacity of 20 l.
By using the highest grade of steel permitted by the regulations and an optimised design, the weight of our steel air pressure vessel can be kept down to just 3.4 kg. This weight is well below the stipulations of DIN 74281-1 (Air braking systems – Pressure vessels – Part 1: Measures of welded steel and aluminium single chamber pressure vessels) and in many cases also lower than the weights of competitors’ products.
Standard steel air pressure vessels have threads to ISO 4039-2 (M22 x 1.5 mm). Upon request, however, we can also comply with customer specifications for pneumatic systems (e.g. Voss 230, Voss 232, etc.).
In order to avoid places where corrosion could begin inside the tank, all threaded bosses are attached from outside by means of MAG welding, treated with an anti-corrosion product and covered with caps for protection during storage and transport.
All of our compressed air tanks are factory-primed with a powder coating in colour RAL 9005 as standard. This primer can be painted over. The thickness of the primer coat must be at least 60 µm. Results of 1,000 h are then achieved in the salt spray test. Corrosion protection is optimised at all threaded bosses by coating the end face. Consequently, our compressed air tanks with mounting bracket have the corrosion protection necessary for vehicles on the road.
In salt spray tests, our steel air pressure vessels achieve results of up to 240 h.
Our steel air pressure vessels are labelled according to EN 286-2 with a self-adhesive label approved by Germany’s Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (Federal Motor Transport Authority). Every label is covered by a protective foil that can be easily removed if the steel air pressure vessel is painted later.
Our range of products contains standard types from 5 l x 154 mm to 120 l x 396 mm. In addition, tanks can be produced to meet customer specifications regarding capacity, diameter, surface coating and direct mounting on vehicles.
We supply compressed air tanks for all common commercial vehicle types. If you do not find the compressed air tank you require in our online shop, please phone +49 (0)37349 66288 to place your order. Or simply use our enquiry form.
