Steel fire columns with an elegant patina finish
Warmth on a cool evening or light on a hot summer’s night – enjoy the evening mood on your patio or in your garden and delight in the flames from your fire column.
Compared to a Swedish fire or torch, our steel fire columns have the advantage that you can use them again and again. The steel column’s special geometry moreover results in a chimney effect, so that the wood is more or less completely combusted. You profit from extremely efficient, almost smokeless combustion with practically no ash to clear away afterwards. Any residues remaining can be easily swept up from the column’s steel bottom.
The warmth that is radiated by our fire columns is also very pleasant – and much more uniform than that from a Swedish fire or a fire bowl, because the column protects the flames from the wind and the steel shell is heated up all round.
Even though virtually no flying sparks are produced and the chimney effect of the steel column prevents them from reaching the ground, please make sure you use only well-dried wood (with a moisture content of between 15 and 20%), so that the fire hazard from sparks is reduced to a minimum. Hardwoods (wood from deciduous trees) are ideal: they generally burn more evenly with less crackling and fewer sparks due to their lower resin and fat content.
All our fire columns are made from 1.5 mm thick steel and can be supplied in two different heights (80 cm or 120 cm), both with the same diameter (38 cm). The steel columns have a light orange patina finish, which darkens with time through oxidation. With a weight of just 10.8 kg (80 cm high) or 15.6 kg (120 cm high), they can be transported without any problems or put in storage during winter.
